Sadie

Pit Bull Terrier Mix, Spayed Female, 7 1/2 years old, not recommended with children under the age of 8, has been good with some other dogs and the cats she has met here. She is a little nervous at first, and just needs some time, patience and love to help her adjust. Sadie is affectionate with people and already knows her basic commands.

Puppy

Cocker spaniel, 1 year old, neutered male, recommended in an adult only household, not recommended with small animals such as birds, rodents or rabbits, okay with the cats and other dogs he has met here. Would do great living with an outgoing, social dog. Puppy is here because his previous home could not afford his care. He is a sweet little guy, but can be fearful in new situations. Puppy needs a calm, patient household that is willing to take the time to help him adjust. Once he is comfortable, he loves to play and enjoys being with his people. He is a genuine wallflower - "Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I’ll blossom"

Bing

Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix, 2 years old, Neutered Male. not recommended with children under the age of 13, okay with some dogs, but no cats for this guy. Bing came to us as an unclaimed stray. Bing has tons of energy and will run for miles, chase a ball for hours, and still want to play at the end of the day." Luckily, Bing loves to learn and is food motivated and easy to train! All he needs is the proper mental and physical stimulation. Looking for fun and active? Look no further!

Cocoa

Update: Cocoa has been in training for his reactivity towards other dogs and has made a HUGE improvement! He and Bella have play dates a few times a week and absolutely love it! Cocoa has made a huge turnaround and still may be best being in an only dog household, but if your dog can handle some tough and tumble play, come by and meet Cocoa - they could turn into the best of friends! Cocoa has also learned down and stay and is still working on no jumping.

Lady

Update: Lady has been here for two months now and is patiently waiting on her new family to find her. She can be a little nervous in the kennel, but if you give her a chance, take her for a walk she will show you what a love she is! She enjoys running around in the training room, but after a short play session she is ready to curl up by your feet and take a nap. She can be very affectionate and loves a good rub down! It’s hard to resist her sweet face!

American Pitbull Terrier, Spayed Female, 2 years old. Lady is house trained, leash trained and ok with some dogs. She has done okay with cats she has met here and is not recommended with children under the age of 13. Lady is a sweet girl who came to us because her owner could no longer care for her. What Do You Really Know About Greyhounds?

Retired greyhounds make wonderful companions! Most are non-barking, easy to housebreak and are already crate trained. Greyhounds are generally excellent on leash, walking quietly and easily next to their person. They tend to have wonderful manners and bond quickly with people and most other dogs. Greyhounds are also very tolerant and can often learn to be okay with cats and children. With consistency and clarity, training can be easy and you may find you have a new shadow! They are intelligent, lovable and loyal. While they may have had a past of racing at the track, they require little exercise and tend to be couch potatoes in the home merely wanting companionship.
