Local 4-H Group gives to the Animals

Sandown, NH-4-H Groups from Sandown and Exeter, NH have gotten together to raise money to benefit the animals at the New Hampshire SPCA. The "Ruff-N-Ready" group held a bowl-a-thon fund raiser that earned $1,000. The group is meeting tonight, Tuesday, February 07, 2006, at State Line Pet Supply to purchase items to donate to the NHSPCA.
Thirteen members of the group and their dogs will arrive at State Line Pet Supply, located on Rt. 125 in Plaistow, NH at 6:00 PM this evening. The group has decided that they will spend $200 at State Line to purchase items on the NHSPCA's Disaster Response Team's wish list, and the remaining $800 on other supplies to benefits the animals, especially dogs, at the shelter. A visit to the NHSPCA to present these items is scheduled for March 7th.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center which provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and closed on Wednesday.
