6 Kittens Abandoned at Kingston Residence

Stratham NH – Six kittens were abandoned in a Kingston residence after their owner was evicted from the home two weeks ago. The kittens, 8 to 9 weeks of age, who were left without food or heat, have now been surrendered to the New Hampshire SPCA.

Kingston Police Department was called to the residence after the abandoned kittens were noticed by a real-estate agent. The kittens were found to be drinking from their only source of water; a toilet bowl filled with anti-freeze.

Subsequently the kittens have been examined by a veterinarian and are receiving medical attention. Along with the kittens, the owner has also surrendered three adult cats to the NHSPCA. Once the cats and kittens have been medically cleared and spayed and neutered, they will be available for adoption. In the meantime, if you would like to help with their considerable veterinarian expenses, donations can be made to the SOS Fund by calling the NHSPCA at (603) 772-2921 or by visiting them online at www.nhspca.org.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday. For more information about the NHSPCA, visit www.nhspca.org.
