New Hampshire SPCA to Host 11th Annual Auction for Animals

STRATHAM, NH
The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA) announces the "11th Annual Auction for the Animals" and invites animal enthusiasts to join in for an evening filled with excitement and lively bidding.
The benefit auction will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at the New England Center in Durham, NH. All proceeds will contribute to providing shelter, food and medical care for more than 4,000 homeless, abused and neglected animals that will be surrendered to the center in the coming year.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres and silent auction bidding, followed by a full course dinner and live auction. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on more than 200 unique auction items graciously donated by businesses and individuals throughout the greater seacoast area. A sampling of the items up for bid includes furniture and home décor, jewelry, certificates for dining at many area restaurants, original artwork, a resort stay in Virginia Beach, VA and a trip for two to a vacation destination of your choice.
"In today's society it's increasingly important to give back to the community, especially to those who can't help themselves," commented Mary Jane Werner, NHSPCA Board member and Development Committee chairwoman. "The auction is a perfect chance to not only take home some wonderful items for yourself or as gifts for others, but to help support an organization that does so much for our community."
For more information contact the NHSPCA at (603) 772- 2921, ext. 119 or by email at events@nhspca.org. Tickets may also be purchased on line at www.nhspca.org.
The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am - 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am - 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday.
