NHSPCA-Jumbo Circus Peanuts Join Forces

In what at first glance appears to be an ironic partnership, the New Hampshire SPCA will join the Jumbo Circus Peanuts for a live show on New Year’s Eve. The concert will be at the Portsmouth VFW Ballroom, 238 Deer Street, Portsmouth. Doors open at 8 PM, cost is $10 donation for the animals. This is an 18+ event, cash bar and hot food concessions available.

General admission tickets are available in advance from the NHSPCA in Stratham and may be purchased in person during business hours, over the phone at (603) 772-2921, or on-line at www.nhspca.org.

The Portsmouth-based Jumbo Circus Peanuts have become the Seacoast's favorite party and dance band over the past decade, boasting a legacy of memorable club and concert performances and a legion of colorful fans.

With more than a dozen musicians on-stage, the Peanuts' unique instrumentation includes a full complement of brass, saxophones and a swinging rhythm section. The band's repertoire is a smorgasbord of funky pop hits, swing classics, disco-era anthems, Mardi Gras party music and unexpected delights that range from Disney films to Nancy Sinatra ballads. Learn more about the band at www.jumbocircuspeanuts.com.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday.
