New Hampshire SPCA
sending animals Home 4 the Holidays
Stratham, NH-The New Hampshire SPCA is in search of a few good
owners for their four-legged residents. NHSPCA has joined efforts
with 2,000 shelters around the world to host the annual Iams Home
4 the Holidays adoption campaign organized by The Iams Company and
Helen Woodward Animal Center. Beginning on November 7th the NHSPCA
set a goal of finding new homes for 400 animals. As of today, the
Adoption Center only needs to find 75 more homes to meet the goal
by January 2, 2006.
The Iams Home 4 the Holidays campaign was established
to raise awareness of the joys of owning
shelter-adopted pets. Last year over 313,000 orphaned animals were
matched with loving families. The event's goal for 2005 is to link
more than 350,000 dogs, cats, kittens and other companion pets with
loving, adoptive families.
Those interested in adopting a pet can visit the Adoption
Center at 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH. The center will be
closed December 24th and 25th for the holiday but will resume normal
hours next week.
The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center which provides
animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services
in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is
open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday,
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and closed on Wednesday.
