NHSPCA schedules Rabies Clinics for 2006

Rabies is a fatal disease that is communicable to humans and your pet should be protected. The New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham is offering low cost vaccinations during several rabies clinics that will be held this year.

All clinics are held at the NHSPCA on Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. The 2006 dates are:
March 12
April 23
May 21
August 13

The cost is $15.00 per animal for a 3-year vaccination (please bring proof of a vaccination last year or three years ago) and $10.00 for a 1-year vaccination. No appointment is necessary but your pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
In addition to a rabies vaccine the NHSPCA recommends that your pet receive the following veterinary care for its general well being:

DOGS: Annual physical exam, Distemper and Parvo Virus Vaccination, Lyme Disease Vaccination,
Heartworm Testing and monthly preventative medication, Regular flea and tick prevention.
CATS: Annual physical exam, Feline Distemper Vaccination, Feline Leukemia Vaccination, Regular flea and tick prevention.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center which provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. The Adoption Center is closed on Wednesday.
