The Humane Education program at the NHSPCA strives to teach children to respect all living creatures. Children learn about animals, their care and people's responsibility to them. Our educators work with local public schools to teach animal safety, pet care, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe that by providing humane education to the public we begin to improve conditions for animals and strengthen the human/animal bond. Our vision is a world where every animal is well cared for and loved. Programming is available for children from 2 to 15 years old. Some of the available programs include junior volunteers (13-15 year olds), animal-centric clubs for children 6-12, tours for school and community groups of all ages, story time for toddlers, school visits, birthday parties and 9 weeks of summer camp for children 6-12.

Sponsors for Summer Camp and other humane education programs are also being sought.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday.
