The New Hampshire SPCA announced today the start of the 2009 Summer Camp T-Shirt Design Contest which is now open to everyone 16 years
old and under. The NHSPCA is seeking artwork
that will adorn all t-shirts worn by over 120 campers and counselors during the upcoming
sold-out season of summer camp! Additionally,
the New Hampshire SPCA announced that two new sponsors have stepped forward to support this year's summer camp program.

The first sponsor, Dr. Peter Gray & Mrs. Ellen B. Gray, of Boston, MA, have been longtime friends and supporters of the New Hampshire SPCA. This year Dr. and Mrs. Gray have chosen to expand their support by including a significant sponsorship of our children's camp program. Our deepest thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Gray.

The second sponsor is Greenfashionline.com, a clothing company that produces ecologically friendly clothing. The company is providing all of the t-shirts and t-shirt printing for the campers and counselors. All shirts provided will be produced in the USA. In addition, Greenfashionline.com has created a partnership with the New Hampshire SPCA whereby sales of their t-shirt line, luvourpets.org, benefit the NHSPCA. "We are very pleased to support another great organization that helps make a better world," said Paul Towle of Greenfashionline.com.
"The New Hamphire SPCA is delighted to have two such wonderful partners involved in summer camp this year," said Sheila Ryan, Director of Development and Marketing. "Their support is critical to ensuring that summer camp and other humane education programs continue to be available to our children." The New Hampshire SPCA Summer Camp is a very popular program where children have a great time interacting with the animals and learn a great deal about how to help create a humane world.

The Humane Education program at the NHSPCA strives to teach children to respect all living creatures. Children learn about animals, their care and people's responsibility to them.
Our educators work with local public schools to teach animal safety, pet care, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe that by providing humane education to the public we begin to improve conditions for animals and strengthen the human/animal bond.
Our vision is a world where every animal is well cared for and loved. Programming is available for children from 2 to 15 years old. Some of the available programs include junior volunteers (13-15 year olds), animal-centric clubs for children 6-12, tours for school and community
groups of all ages, story time for toddlers, school visits, birthday parties and 9 weeks of summer camp for children 6-12.

Additional Sponsors for Summer Camp and other humane education programs are also being sought.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way.
The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday,
11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday. For more information about the NHSPCA, visit www.nhspca.org.
