For Immediate Release
Stratham, NH -
On Saturday and Sunday, May 8th and 9th, the New Hampshire SPCA
will celebrate the grand opening of its new Learning Center for
Pets and People by hosting an open house for community members and
supporters. The Grand Opening marks the completion of a thirteen
year long effort to construct adequate facilities that allow the
NHSPCA to provide shelter, food and medical care for the more than
4,000 animals taken in each year.
The NHSPCA does not receive any government funding and was able
to build the Adoption Center, The Morris D. Lamprey Memorial Barn
and the Learning Center for Pets and People thanks to a capital
campaign made successful by donations from individuals, corporations
and foundations.
Events will take place from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM Saturday and
Sunday. This celebration is open and free to the public and features
Agility and Obedience demonstrations, exotic animals, face painting,
crafts and story telling for kids and of course, the animals. Attendees
will enjoy a day of fun, refreshments and prizes for the whole family.
Visit the web site at www.nhspca.org for more details.
