NHSPCA Staff Members Aid Epping Police Department

On Monday, March 27, 2006 three NHSPCA staff members aided the police department in the town of Epping, NH with the evacuation of horses from the Sheila LeBarre residence. The NHSPCA was contacted to assist in removing and caring for the animals by the Epping Animal Control Officer. The NHSPCA has no further comment on this case at this time. For all inquires regarding this case, please contact the Epping Police Department at (603) 679-5122 or the NH Attorney General's Office.

The NHSPCA is often called to assist with law enforcement cases involving animals because there are few resources throughout the state that can accommodate housing and caring for animals both large and small.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center which provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, closed on Wednesdays. The Learning Center for Pets and People is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 pm. For more information please call (603) 772-2921 or visit www.nhspca.org.
