Dog Found In Hampton Recently Gave Birth

On Tuesday, May 21st a female Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix was found in Hampton and transported to New Hampshire SPCA on Wednesday. According to the NHSPCA veterinarian, the dog gave birth within the last three weeks. The New Hampshire SPCA is seeking to reunite the dog, named Angel by the NHSPCA staff, with her newborn puppies. If you have any information on this dog, please contact Steve Sprowl at 603-674-9836.

The dog was picked up in Hampton on Route 1 close to the Benjamin Moore paint store. She appears very thin and undernourished and may have been missing for a period of time. She was wearing a red collar but had no tags and no microchip. She has been checked by the veterinarian and aside from malnourishment and few minor injuries, she appear to be ok.

"We really want to reunite Angel with her pups," said Field Services Manager, Steve Sprowl. "The puppies and Angel will all be much healthier and happier if we can find her owner and get her home."

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday.
