Executive Committee & Board Members Elected

The New Hampshire SPCA announces the succession of directors into leadership roles on the NHSPCA Executive Committee and the election of additional board members.

At its annual meeting recently, the NHSPCA elected Erik Wheeler of Hopkinton, NH to the office of President. Mr. Wheeler who has served on the board for the past six years, is with UBS Financial Services, Inc. in Concord. Mary Jane Werner, of Stratham and a member of the Stratham Planning Board has been elected to the office of Vice President. Ms. Werner has been a member of the NHSPCA board for four years. Julie Quinn, of Exeter, NH and Director of Communications at Phillips Exeter Academy has been elected as Board Secretary after serving as a board member at large since 2005. Keith Eustis, of Stratham, President of Port Professional Staffing LLC, continues in his role as Treasurer. In addition, we are thrilled that Joanne Lamprey, of North Hampton and President of Lamprey Brothers, having served for the past nine years, remains committed to the animals and the agency and continues on as Immediate Past President.

The New Hampshire SPCA is also delighted to welcome five new members to its Board of Directors. They bring a broad range of experience and talents. Together with those members continuing to serve on the board, they are deeply committed to the ongoing strength of the agency and the animals in our care.

New Board Member Bios:

Mark Sullivan is Founder and President of Seacoast Asset Management, Inc. He is a financial planner with 25 years of experience in the investment industry. Mark lives in Stratham with his wife Loree and their four children. They have two cats and three dogs, three of whom are alumni of the NHSPCA.

Frederick Woodburn is Vice President of DataRisk, LLC in Portsmouth. His specialty is Risk Management. Mr. Woodburn lives in Durham with his wife Roberta. They have two sons, two dogs and one cat.

Sally Evans is a CPA and finance director for Two International Group in Portsmouth. She has extensive experience in accounting and financial management Sally lives with her cat in Portsmouth.

Attorney H. Alfred Casassa is the senior member of the law firm of Casassa and Ryan, a practice he started in 1960. He practices primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Real Estate and Business matters. Mr. Casassa lives in Rye Beach with his wife Clarice. They have three children and four grandchildren.

Debra Weiss Ford has rejoined the NHSPCA board after four years off. Deb has recently joined Jackson Lewis LLP and has over 25 years of experience counseling and representing employers in litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Deb holds a Juris Doctor from Temple University and lives in Dover. Deb has been an avid supporter of the NHSPCA for more than a decade.

Rachel Brown of Rye, Maureen Carey of North Hampton, Dr. Jim McKiernan, DVM of Durham, and Dan Plummer of Stratham.


The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center that provides animal adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 am – 4pm on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 am – 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Wednesday.
