For Immediate Release

Stratham, NH -

On Friday, June 25, 2004 the Route 1 Fun Center in Kittery, ME will hold its 1st Annual Putting for Paws Mini Golf Tournament to benefit the New Hampshire SPCA. Owner Brad Dudley is calling the event "The Tyler Open" in honor of the beloved dog he recently lost to cancer.

Dudley lost his dog Tyler to cancer this past January. "Just as in people, cancer can go undetected in animals and could claim the lived of your loved one before you know it", he says. With that in mind Dudley is donating 100% of the proceeds of this fund raising and awareness raising event to the NHSPCA.

The fun filled event will feature a mini golf tournament, all you can eat pizza buffet, batting cages, raffle prizes and NHSPCA staff, volunteers and animals. There will be a doggie break area, and dogs are welcome on the golf course as long as they are on a leash.

The 1st Annual Putting for Paws Mini Golf Tournament will be held from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2004. A $10 donation is requested per person. The Route 1 Fun Center is located 1 mile north of the Kittery Outlet malls on Rt. 1. For more information about the event please contact Brad Dudley at (207) 439-PLAY.

The NHSPCA is pleased to be a part of this fun event that will also help people learn about the potentially devastating threat of cancer and your pet.

The New Hampshire SPCA is a community resource center which provides animal adoption,
education, investigation and sheltering services in a professional and compassionate way. The Adoption Center is open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and closed on Wednesdays.
