Stratham NH - Seminar to Help Owners with Reactive Dogs

The New Hampshire SCPA is pleased to offer a workshop for dog owners with "reactive" dogs. The skills taught in this seminar will demonstrate how to recondition the reactive dog's emotional reaction to people, other dogs and his environment in a positive way. Attendees will learn what stimulates a dog's reactive behavior and how to evaluate whether your dog is shy or aggressive. Attendees will also learn how to reduce the effect of the reactive stimulation, how to recondition a dog's emotional response and how to teach a dog more appropriate behaviors that can be rewarded. There will
be a lecture period, live demonstrations and a video presentation.

The workshop is a two-day training and demonstration session on Saturday and Sunday, August 26 and 27 from 9 am to 5 pm. Attendance is limited to 30 participants and only 6 participants will be allowed to bring a dog to be worked and trained. The cost is $150, or $200 if you wish to bring your dog. Signing up in advance is highly recommended and participants wanting to work their dog will be required to fill out a client history form about their pet.

For more information and to register please visit the NHSPCA web site at www.nhspca.org or call 603-772-2921 Ext. 121.
