Drop in Puppy Play: For puppies 2 to 4 months of age
One hour drop in play time for puppies. Get a jump on social skills, learn house training, crate training, bite inhibition, attention to name, no pulling on the leash, proper equipment and toys. Plus lots of play time! This is a great opportunity for you if classes are full or have already started. Only $10 per visit, no registration needed!

Puppy Play & Learn: For puppies 4 to 8 months of age -
This class assists with behavior problem solving and basic obedience such as Sit, Stay, Wait, Come, Leave it, Off and Heel. Also learn to deal with your puppy in real life situations and plenty of play time. House-training and rough play will be covered. Equipment use, basic obedience and overall good manners are also covered. Instructed by Kelly Arbogast or Eden Guilbault of the NHSPCA $115 / 1 hour a week for 5 weeks

Polished Puppy: For graduates of Puppy Play and Learn (or by instructor approval). This class continues to help you gain control and make the commands you've learned more reliable, teaching self control and better listening. Puppies should know: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Wait, Off, and be on their way to; Leave it, Settle and Heel. Advanced Puppy: For graduates of Polished Puppy Use this class to proof the skills you learned in our Polished Puppy class and prepare for the CGC test (Canine Good Citizens). The class uses duration, distance, and distraction to make the most efficient use of your training time and to perfect Stay, Come, Leave it and reactions to other dogs along with leash control in real life situations. $115 / 1 hour a wk for 5 weeks with a CGC scheduled at the last class

If you have just adopted (within the first month after adoption) you are welcome to take advantage of a free drop in session for you and your dog. These sessions provide you a place to get the answers you need to make the transition with your new dog easier. You can attend with or without your dog to ask questions, get answers and receive demonstrations on how to fix behavior problems. Cat questions are welcome but we suggest you leave your new kitty at home!

Top Five Trouble - Drop In

Thursdays @ 5:30 November 12th - December 17th (no class Thanksgiving night)

Can't commit to a full five week course but still have a few behaviors you are working on? This class is for you. One subject is covered each week. Come to whichever sessions you need, see our list below for weekly subjects! These drop-in classes are for dogs with good social skills who just need to polish up one or two behavior problems. Dogs in these classes should be up to date on all vaccinations and be able to interact with other dogs. If your dog exhibits aggressive or reactive behavior with other dogs, please contact our behavior department for information on an appropriate training class for you! If you are not sure how your dog will do with other dogs, please call ahead for advice. (603) 772-2921 x 112
What you need:
A six foot regular leash (no flexi type leashes please), Soft yummy treats (mix cheese with your dog's dry food), sneakers or flat closed-toe shoes (no sandals, flip flops or heels)

Drop In Session for Clients of My Dogs Mind

This session allows clients of My Dogs Mind to freshen, proof, or problem solve behavior in a no commitment $15 per visit environment. No need to sign up, just drop in. Classes are at the NHSPCA's Learning Center For Pets and People in Stratham. Please contact Terence at 926-8665 for approval prior to attendance.

OH Behave: For dogs 10 mos. to Adult
This class focuses on behavior problem solving and basic obedience. Using positive reinforcement methods, your dog will learn overall good manners. We'll show you how to handle problems like pulling on the leash, rough play, jumping and not coming when called. In addtion we teach owners how to deal with their dog in real life situations (such as dealing with strangers, visitors, other dogs, dog parks and aggression)

Better Behavior: For graduates of OH Behave !
This class is for graduates of OH Behave or if you have had obedience before and need to polish up. We will help you make the commands and behaviors you and your dog know more reliable and continue to assist with behavior problems. Dog and owners should know: Sit, Stay, Down, Come and be well on the way to Heel, Wait, Leave it, Settle and Off. $115 / 1 hour a wk for 5 weeks.

Advanced Behavior

Graduates of Polished Puppy and Better Behavior can meet here, challenge what you know and create reliable off leash dogs. You don’t need to be advanced to get in but more than a beginner and just about ready for off leash work.

We add distractions and challenges, and of course take it all off leash by the third week! No play, all business and participants should know, Sit, Down, Stay, COME, Leave it and Heel

A Canine Good Citizen test is available at the end of this class!

$115 / 1 hour a wk for 5 weeks.

Grumpy Growlies If your dog is reactive to everything and has something to say about every dog, person, truck or bicycle ,this is the class for you. Learn the difference between reactive behavior, insecurity, poor leadership and aggression. Find out if your dog really is aggressive or just lacks the proper skills, and knowledge to make the RIGHT choices. We offer all of this in a positive training environment.

This class teaches: Self control; Proper greeting; Dog to dog greetings; Leadership; How to change your reactions

Commands: Enough / Quiet ; Go Say Hi ; Come; Leave it; Heel; "Look at that" ; Settle

$115 / 1 hour a wk for 5 weeks.

Clear Communication and CGC test upon completion.


This class polishes up the behaviors you and your dog have learned creating reliability and proofing in real life situations. Dog's taking this class should perform well at the following commands: sit, stay, down, come, heel, off, leave it, settle, place, wait, and be under good leash control.The Canine Good Citizen test and Program is a two part program that is designed to 1. teach responsible dog ownership to owners and 2. certify dogs that have the training and behaviors needed to be reliable, well-behaved members of their families and communities. The CGC test is non competitive and dogs are not required to perform with the same precision required in formal obedience tests. Dogs that pass can purchase an official certificate from the American Kennel Club and are listed on their web site at www.akc.org Instructed by Terence Kirby of

There is a $25 cancellation fee up to 7 days prior to the
start of class. If cancellation is received less than 7
days prior to class start, all fees are non-refundable and
