SUMMARY:Alzheimer's Café at the NHSPCA
DESCRIPTION:An Alzheimer’s Café offers a community setting where people living with Alzheimer’s disease\, dementia or other memory issues and their caregivers gather\, socialize and enjoy conversation. Our location offers the fun and unique opportunity to see some of our resident animals and have possible visits from owned or adoptable animals as well. This is a fun social event that will take place on the second Thursday of each month between 12:30pm and 2:00pm in our Training Room on the first floor of the Learning Center. Space is limited and groups should contact us before planning to attend. There is no fee to attend. \nMasks are optional. If someone in your party is feeling unwell\, we kindly request that you stay home and plan to come for the next Café. This helps protect the vulnerable population that visit our Café as well as our staff and volunteers. \nSpace is limited.Questions – please email Jill Sloan at jsloan@nhspca.org \nWaiver: I recognize that in conjunction with my attendance at the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA)\, I and members of my party will be in contact with and may be allowed to hold and pet animals. I understand that despite all precautions made\, there is a chance that I or members of my party may contract a disease or illness by handling the animals. I further understand that there is a chance that there is a risk of sustaining a scratch or bite while handling animals. I understand that the above is illustrative of the types of risks involved in participating in programs at the NHSPCA\, but is in no way a complete list of possible risks. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Throwback Brewery on Thursday\, May 14\, for the Seacoast Paddleboard Club’s fourth Annual Summer Kickoff Party and open house. Do you love to paddleboard or want to paddleboard? Are you looking to connect with like-minded people who love the outdoors and animals? Come to this event to meet SPC members and learn all about the club and their upcoming events – including this summer’s Seacoast Paddle for the Pups that benefits the NHSPCA! No commitment to join is required. \nSeacoast Paddleboard Club (SPC) was established in 2015\, and today\, is one of the most successful paddleboard clubs in the United States. The club has become synonymous with paddle boarding in Northern New England\, specifically New Hampshire\, Maine\, and Massachusetts and attracts members who embrace their mission to get out on the water\, have fun\, and give back. \nTo support their mission\, SPC hosts year-round events\, from charity paddles to beach cleanups.
