Successful communication will be achieved using a positive reinforcement\, reward based training. \nPrerequisites: Completion of Continuing Agility or Adv. Beginner Agility or instructor approval.  \nSpecial Notes: This class is not for aggressive or reactive dogs. If your dog exhibits this type of behavior please see our Reactive Dog class or email behavior@nhspca.org for assistance. \nVaccinations: Please email your dog’s vaccination records prior to the first class to vaccines@nhspca.org.  All pets must be current on core vaccinations. Successful communication will be achieved using a positive reinforcement\, reward based training. This class is meant to be fun and give you and your pup the opportunity to move into the Intermediate Agility class\, or you and your pup can just enjoy agility and take this class as many times as you’d like to keep them active. You will also be venturing into for sequencing and courses. \nPrerequisites: Completion of Adv. In this class there will be some emphasis on basic commands. We will be doing cone work\, surface training and plank work. Baby tires and scaled down equip will be used. We will be working on sits\, stays\, making turns\, doing balance work and rear end awareness. We will work on sends\, contact work and some needed flat work. DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Jake Belmont \nDuration: 5 Classes (Jan. 26-Feb. 23) \nClass Time: 1 hour \nLocation: New Hampshire SPCA Training Room \nClass Description: So the Nosework bug has really sunk its teeth into you huh? We don’t blame you! Working with your dog at a game they love can be so much fun! In this class we will take what you have learned and work to perfect it. Things we might work on are vehicle searches\, how to strategize on a windy day\, focusing on your dog’s body language while they search\, searching in different environments and more! This class is suitable for any dog that has taken an Intro To Odor class. We will be able to customize the lessons to fit your dog’s experience level after that! \nPrerequisite: Intro to odor\, or by instructor approval \nVaccinations: Please email your dog’s vaccination records to vaccines@nhspca.org before the first class.  All pets must be current on core vaccinations. Vaccines for canine parvovirus\, distemper\, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines. Please speak with your veterinarian about the appropriateness of non-core vaccines.  These include vaccines against Bordetella and Lepto. \nRefund & Cancellation Policy: There is a $25 service fee for registration cancellation\, if you cancel more than 7 days from the start of class. If you must cancel less than one week prior to the start of the program\, all fees are non-refundable and will result in a donation of the total fee to the NHSPCA. If the NHSPCA must cancel a program\, then we will issue a full refund. Note: Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. \nWeather cancellations are listed at 603-772-2921 Ext. 112. If we are experiencing inclement weather please call this number and listen to the recording for the most up to date cancellation information. \nWaiver & Photo Release: Client understands and accepts that attending dog training classes may put you\, your dog and/or any guests who may also attend\, in a situation not without risk.  Client acknowledges there are unavoidable risks of injury when working with animals.  Some of the dogs in attendance may be hard to handle and could cause injury even when handled with the utmost care.  Client agrees to assume all risk of any injury or damage resulting from the actions of any dog including their own while in a class\, on the grounds of the NHSPCA\, Tonry Tree Farm\, Linden Woods Farm and any surrounding areas or when attending any training function.  Client further understands that they are responsible for furnishing written proof of current Rabies\, Distemper and other vaccinations upon request and they understand that any time a dog is in contact with other animals it may expose him/her to minimal risk of communicable disease. Client hereby waives and releases the NHSPCA\, New England Agility Team (NEAT)\, Tonry Tree Farm\, Linden Woods Farm and their agents and employees from any and all liability for injury\, damage or illness that they or their dog may incur while attending the training classes. Client authorizes the NHSPCA to use photos of you\, your dog and/or any guests engaging in class activities for media purposes. \n
