DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Ashley Conte \nDuration: 5 Weeks (Mar.2nd-Mar.30th) \nClass Time: 1 Hour \nLocation: New Hampshire SPCA – Training room \nClass Description: It’s time for school for you and your pup!  This introductory class is for puppies 4-6 months to help them and you coast through the challenges of puppyhood.  In addition to learning how to effectively house train your pup\, how to prevent jumping and biting and understanding proper puppy socialization you will learn all the basic manners such as sit\, down\, come\, stay\, leave it\, drop it and how to walk properly on leash.  This class is all taught using positive reinforcement techniques which is fun for you and the whole family! \nPrerequisites: None \nSpecial Notes: This class is not for aggressive or reactive dogs. If your dog exhibits this type of behavior please see our Reactive Dog class or email behavior@nhspca.org for assistance. \nVaccinations: Please email your dog’s vaccination records prior to the first class to vaccines@nhspca.org.  All pets must be current on core vaccinations. Vaccines for canine parvovirus\, distemper\, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines. Maybe you and your dog avoid it altogether because it’s just so stressful. There is an easy way to help manage your dog’s nails and the good news is that it’s actually pretty fun too! In this 45 minute long workshop I’ll show you how to introduce the scratch board with your dog to shorten and maintain their nails.\nThis workshop is not appropriate for reactive dogs but auditor spots are available. This workshop is not appropriate for reactive dogs but auditor spots are available.\nPrerequisites: None \nSpecial Notes: This class is not for aggressive or reactive dogs. If your dog exhibits this type of behavior please see our Reactive Dog class or email behavior@nhspca.org for assistance. \nVaccinations: Please email your dog’s vaccination records prior to the first class to vaccines@nhspca.org.  All pets must be current on core vaccinations. Vaccines for canine parvovirus\, distemper\, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines. Please speak with your veterinarian about the appropriateness of non-core vaccines.  These include vaccines against Bordetella and Lepto. \nRefund & Cancellation Policy: There is a $25 service fee for registration cancellation\, if you cancel more than 7 days from the start of class. If you must cancel less than one week prior to the start of the program\, all fees are non-refundable and will result in a donation of the total fee to the NHSPCA.
