Misty was found underneath a house, alone and scared at the beginning of March. She was brought to us by a kind woman who had tried to keep her but realized Misty needed a home with no other animals. It took weeks before she felt comfortable enough to let us pet her. Our staff didn’t give up on her. We gave her the time and space to feel safe. Misty was able to get one on one attention and learn what it feels like to be loved. Now she purrs and rubs all over our hands wanting more. Your support allows animals like Misty to receive the best personal care while they wait for their forever homes.

Fiona was surrendered to us when her people had to move and couldn’t take her with them. Left behind in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people, Fiona shied away from anyone who approached her kennel, even with a treat or a leash. We knew it would take a lot of patience and love to gain Fiona’s trust, and worked every day to build that relationship. Special playtime, enrichment and of course, lots of belly rubs were the way to Fiona’s heart. It’s because of compassionate people like you that Fiona is able to be with us as long as needed until the perfect family comes along.

Lovey was rescued from a horrific situation just over a year ago and needed intensive treatment to recover. She was extremely thin, her eyes were dull and she had an untreated wound on her shoulder. Turns out she had fractured her scapula and needed surgery to remove several bone fragments. After months of rehabilitation, Lovey has recovered and is certainly living up to her name. She’s super sweet and full of love and life. She’ll remain safe and loved in our care until she finds a forever home- no matter how long it takes.
