Class Description: This class continues to build on skills learned in Manners 1. Raising criteria and building distance, distraction and duration to known behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come and more! Manners 2 will help you build reliability and consistency and polish responses to basic cues. We will provide you with the skills to help shape new important and fun behaviors! Dogs should know: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Wait, Off, and be on their way to; Leave it, Settle and Loose Leash Walking. This class is a great way to prepare for CGC testing and therapy dog work.

Prerequisites: Manners 1 or Instructor Approval

Special Notes: This class is not for aggressive or reactive dogs. If your dog exhibits this type of behavior please see our Reactive Dog class or email behavior@nhspca.org for assistance.

Vaccinations: Please email your dog’s vaccination records prior to the first class to vaccines@nhspca.org.  All pets must be current on core vaccinations. Vaccines for canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies are considered core vaccines. Please speak with your veterinarian about the appropriateness of non-core vaccines.  These include vaccines against Bordetella and Lepto.
