In response to COVID- 19: While we would never want to discourage those interested in fostering, please understand that right now we do not have the capacity to safely complete the home visits and training necessary for new fosters. We remain focused on finding forever homes for the animals currently in our care, while utilizing our staff and existing foster families if/when appropriate. This may change in the future, so if you are interested in fostering, please fill out form below. We will contact you if the need should arise beyond our current capabilities. Thank you for understanding!

Please note: To foster you must live within a 30 mile radius of our shelter located at 104 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH.

Foster parents are an invaluable part of the care and rehabilitation of young, sick, or special needs animals. Fosters must be 18 years or older, be willing and able to take your fosters to follow-up veterinary appointments every 2-3 weeks, keep your foster pets separate from household pets for two weeks or longer in a spare room or contained area. Feed, care, socialize and monitor the health of the foster animal(s).

If you are interested in fostering a cat, dog or other small animal, please fill out a foster care application and we will schedule a time to go over the application, schedule a home visit and provide any necessary training. We provide all the food, supplies and medical services, as well as all the support you can ask for—all we need from you is TLC. Fostering saves lives!
