New Hampshire SPCA Receives Donation of 6,000 lbs of Pet Food- Agency will act as an emergency distribution hub for pet parents affected by the Covid-19 Crisis

We are grateful to announce that the New Hampshire SPCA has been selected by the generous people at GreaterGood.org, to receive over 6,000 lbs. of dog and cat food.  The food is intended to assist shelters in feeding animals in house, but also to provide food statewide for those in need of assistance with feeding their pets.

“We have already begun receiving requests from individuals in the community that are having trouble feeding their pets,” said Lisa Dennison, Executive Director of the NHSPCA.  “In fact, we have already exhausted much of our own supplies in order to help provide pet food to pantries, and individuals. We are honored to be able to help in this way.”

Pet parents in New Hampshire looking for support can email the New Hampshire SPCA at info@nhspca.org to arrange for pick-up of pet food and supplies. Shelters and rescue groups can reach out in the same way.

Based on initial demand, the NHSPCA expects to distribute the food quickly. We hope to be able to continue to support pet parents throughout this COVID-19 crisis. If you would like to assist the New Hampshire SPCA in keeping supplies full, please consider visiting the wish list on our website.

This local distribution of pet goods is part of multi-million-dollar nationwide donation effort that GreaterGood.org is executing to help the pet communities across the U.S. impacted most by the coronavirus outbreak.

GreaterGood.org, a national nonprofit that protects people, pets and the planet, has donated this pet food to New Hampshire SPCA for local pet parents in response to COVID-19.  The New Hampshire SPCA will act as a distribution hub for local pet parents struggling financially that need resources to care for their pets.

Rescue Bank, a signature program of GreaterGood.org, is managing the distribution of these life-saving donations to  local shelters. The donation is made possible with the support of long-time GreaterGood.org partners including Chewy, PetSmart Charities®, iHeartDogs, Purina, Mars Petcare, The J.M. Smucker Company, RC Pets, Pet Adventures Worldwide, Vitakraft Sun Seed, Inc., and GreaterGood.com.
