Meet Petey!
How 12-year-old Petey ended up in our care is a bit of a sad story. For his whole life, Petey was by his beloved owner’s side until recently when his owner unexpectedly passed away. Losing the only home they have ever known can be tough for any pet, but it’s especially tough for senior pets like Petey who have spent more than a decade with the same family.
Petey might be sad on the inside, but outwardly he is a very happy, friendly, and social little sausage dog. He is laid-back, walks great on a leash, and has already become quite the staff favorite despite only being here for a week. Petey is a very affectionate little guy who comes up to greet anyone who stops by his kennel with his tail wagging happily behind him.
This sweet senior has lots of love left to give and would love nothing more than to find a caring home to live out his golden years in.
