Emma is one year old, jet black, fluffy (in most places), and full of opinions!
She came to us as a transfer from a Tennessee shelter, and it takes about thirty seconds with her to understand who she is: a cat who wants to be near people, loved by people, and (when she has something to say), heard by people. She will make sure of that last part. Emma is vocal, enthusiastic, and completely unapologetic about it. Give it a few days and you’ll find yourself having full conversations with her, which feels a little unhinged at first until you realize she’s actually responding.
Emma does have a condition called hypotrichosis, which causes sparse or uneven hair growth in certain areas due to overgrooming or certain allergies. It’s completely manageable, and any adopter should plan to follow up with their vet to make sure she’s getting the right ongoing care. Beyond that, she carries herself like a cat who has never once questioned her own magnificence. Her coat is hers, she’s fine with it, and so are we.
If Emma sounds like your kind of cat, come meet her and hear what she has to say for herself.
