Labrador Retriever  | Male  | 0

Saber (approximately 39 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from a foster home in Texas. We absolutely adore this boy, who has acquired the nickname Mr. Perfect Puppy - and he lives up to that name! His foster mama reports that Saber is the most affectionate little people pleaser she has ever met. He has not had one accident in the house, goes willingly into his crate when asked, only chews on appropriate toys, is quiet in his kennel, and is dreamy on the leash. Saber did not take long to integrate with the resident pups, both male and female, big and small. While he has a slightly shy and passive temperament, he does gracefully and gently solicit play with other dogs. He minds his manners and is very conscientious of their receptiveness. Saber is also a champion snuggler, loving to nestle beside you on the sofa or in bed during quiet times. He solicits petting but is not the slightest bit overbearing about it. His amber eyes are enough to melt anyone's heart, and his gorgeous brindle coat barely sheds. He's got such a gentle spirit and would make a great companion for just about any lifestyle. Saber has done great around small children as well as adults, and greets strangers with curiosity and gentleness, plus he thinks the resident cat is quite amusing. While Saber is curious about the cat, he does not chase and respects the cat's space. Saber will capture your heart the moment you meet him and then you, like us, will be dedicated to making sure he has the best life possible❤️
