Labrador Retriever | Male | 1
Chuck (approximately 66 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. He is a sweet, gentle pup with a heart full of love and just the right amount of goofy charm. Chuck's friendly demeanor and loving nature made a Texas volunteer offer to foster him until transport, and we got some great information on Chuck! This handsome boy is wonderful with kids and has shown how patient and kind he can be with little humans. He loves to play (a soccer ball in the backyard is his absolute favorite!) and will happily soak up time with his people. Once he feels comfortable, his silly, lovable personality really shines. Chuck is doing well with potty training, knows "sit," and walks nicely on a leash. He's eager to please and very food-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He's still learning about the world and can be a bit cautious when meeting new people, so he'll do best with a patient family who will give him time to settle in and build confidence. Like many young dogs, he's still figuring things out-but he's smart, responsive, and truly wants to be a good boy. Chuck would thrive in a home that can offer him a little patience, a lot of love, and plenty of playtime. In return, you'll get a loyal, affectionate companion who will grow more confident and devoted every day. Come meet Chuck today - he just might be your perfect match!
