American Pit Bull  | Male  | 2

Niles (approximately 65 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. He is extremely social - meeting new people and other dogs is one of the highlights of this guy's life. His friendly nature gained him the attention of a Texas volunteer, who offered to foster Niles while he was waiting for transport. And this darling dog was an excellent houseguest - he's fully house trained, extremely comfortable in his crate, decent on leash (can pull a bit but easy to redirect), and fantastic with other dogs of all ages and sizes. He does get enthusiastic about new friends and tends to jump up for hugs, but his foster dad was helping him work on that...Niles knows the "stay" command and enjoys learning commands, so with some consistent simple training he should be able to overcome his love of jumping up on human friends. Come meet handsome Niles today - he is so ready for his fur-ever person to find him so they can start having fun together!
If you'd like to meet Niles and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today.
