Mixed Breed (Large) | Male | 1
El Rey (approximately 55 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. His name translates formally to "The King", although we've been told that it can also mean "bro" in modern Spanish slang. Either meaning fits this boy perfectly - El Rey is definitely the king of hearts, approaching you initially with shy charm but quickly melting all over you into a cuddle puddle when he realizes you're friendly. He can also be a bro, bouncing with enthusiasm and eager to hang with his buddies, both human and canine. Both of El Rey's speeds are delightful and we encourage all dog enthusiasts to meet this fellow & see for themselves how enchanting he can be. El Rey participated in doggie play groups at his previous shelter and did well with the other dogs there. He is affectionate, friendly, and super sweet - El Rey is ready to be the king of your home and the bro you've been waiting for!
If you'd like to meet El Rey and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today.
