Speedy (approximately 58 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. His name is not very apt - Speedy has shown himself to be a medium energy guy who likes to take time to cuddle with his human friends. He is affectionate, charming, and very social - the kind of dog that you keep thinking about long after you've left his presence. Of course, he is a young Shepherd mix, so we suspect that in the home he'll have some energy and may exhibit some traditional Shepherd stubbornness, but folks who love Shepherds will expect nothing less. He was exceptionally good for his veterinary exam, winning his veterinarian's heart immediately with his gentle kisses and allowance of all handling. Speedy participated in doggie pay groups at his previous shelter & did well with the other dogs there. He is an absolute treasure of a dog who makes everyone who meets him want to come back for more.
