Mixed Breed (Medium) | Female | 5
Birdie (approximately 46 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from a foster home in Texas. Her foster parents report that Birds is the perfect mix of calm companion and curious bird dog. Inside the home, she's incredibly relaxed and happiest when she's close to her person-often choosing a cozy spot on the floor nearby just to be near you. She's affectionate without being overwhelming, and you can always count on her to greet you with excitement and love when you walk through the door. This sweet girl is house-trained, well-mannered, and respectful of her surroundings. She isn't much of a toy enthusiast, but she does enjoy treats and soaking up attention from her humans. Birdie has a moderate energy level-she enjoys getting outside and observing the world but settles down quickly and easily once back indoors. True to her bird dog nature, Birdie can get excited when she sees other dogs running and playing. While she may not fully join in, she loves to run alongside and be part of the fun in her own way. Birdie would thrive in a home that offers a balance of activity and relaxation. Whether it's a peaceful household or one with other friendly pets, she's adaptable and ready to be someone's loyal companion. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate, and slightly quirky best friend, Birdie might just be your perfect match! Please know that we are looking for a home without other cats or small dogs.
