Scottish Fold  | Female  | 3

Miko and her adult sons Chucky & Stitch were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. They were rescued from a neglect situation and yes, they are in fact actual Scottish Folds! Miko is super sweet but she is a bit on the shy side. She prefers a quiet approach from her human friends and responds well to gentle head scratches and baby talk. She gains confidence the longer that she knows you and is very affectionate with those that she trusts. She would prefer a calmer household but was fostered with three cat-savvy children who understood Miko's dislike of chaos, and she did very well with them. Miko lived with her two feline sons in the previous home and got along well with them, although if given the choice she did not spend time being close to them. She has never lived with another female cat but is very passive with her sons, allowing Chucky to dominate that relationship & boss everyone around. It is possible that she could decide to be bossy if another female was involved, but we won't know until we see her with another girl. Miko's favorite activities are lounging and playing with toy balls - soft puff balls, jungle balls, and crinkle balls all make her happy. She also enjoyed eating a Churu snack tube during her veterinary exam, so she would probably love to have such a delicacy in her new home. If Miko sounds like the girl for you, come down & meet her today!
