Domestic Short Hair | Male | 10
Meet Speck! Speck is a local senior stray who has spent the past two years living in a community trailer park, where kind neighbors cared for him and looked out for him. While we don't know much about his life before that, we do know that this sweet senior deserves a safe, comfortable home to call his own. Speck is a fearful boy who needs time, patience, and understanding. He may take a little while to warm up and feel comfortable with his new person, but giving a cat like Speck the space to build trust at his own pace can be incredibly rewarding. Because we don't have any history on Speck with other animals, we're unsure how he'll feel about feline or canine housemates. Any resident animals should be introduced slowly and thoughtfully, allowing everyone plenty of time to adjust. Speck is looking for someone who understands that senior cats and especially shy ones need patience, consistency, and a quiet place to decompress. He may not be the cat who runs up to greet you right away, but with time, he has the chance to show you he's a lovely companion. Does Speck sound like the perfect match for you? Stop by the Adoption Center during open hours 11am-4pm Friday-Tuesdays, 11am-7pm Thursdays, closed Wednesdays.
