No one knows exactly what Lovie went through before she arrived in our care as a stray this past June, but from the rough shape she was in, we’re simply grateful she found her way to us.
When 2-year-old Lovie was found, she was suffering from severe conjunctivitis that left her eyes crusted completely shut. For more than two months she’s been on the mend, and we’re thrilled to share that she’s healed enough to finally begin her search for the home she deserves.
Lovie will likely have a chronic eye condition for the rest of her life, which means she’ll need a little extra attention and care compared to your average cat. But please don’t let this scare you away; she’s a loving, gentle girl who will reward that care with endless affection.
Though she can be a little timid at first, Lovie warms up quickly and lives up to her name. She’s a relatively laid-back girl who loves nothing more than curling up in a soft, quiet spot for a nap. She’s a big fan of grilled wet food (with extra gravy, of course!), and when playtime calls, she comes to life chasing anything that dangles from a string (her favorite kind of toy).
After everything she’s endured, Lovie deserves a safe place to rest, play, and be loved. If you’re ready to give her the forever home she’s been dreaming of, she’ll happily give you her heart in return.
