Are you a middle school student who is passionate about animals, or do you know a budding animal advocate?
The NHSPCA is offering an after-school class just for you! For four weeks, we will explore current animal welfare topics through age-appropriate discussions, debates, and creative activities. Topics may include local and global issues such as the roles of animal shelters and sanctuaries; animals used in entertainment, research, and food; advocating for animal welfare through legislation and public awareness; hunting and poaching; human-wildlife conflicts; and careers working with animals. The program will be held at NHSPCA (Stratham) and will be led by Marla Andrews, a life-long animal advocate and educator who holds an M.Ed. in Humane Education and Animal Welfare. The total cost of the course is $100 per student (for financial assistance, please email education@nhspca.org). Registration is essential – space is limited.
Class Schedule: Tuesdays, November 8th – 29th, 4:00 – 5:30pm
Refund & Cancellation Policy: There is a $25 service fee for registration cancellation, if you cancel more than 7 days from the start of class. If you must cancel less than one week prior to the start of the program, all fees are non-refundable and will result in a donation of the total fee to the NHSPCA. If the NHSPCA must cancel a program, then we will issue a full refund. Note: Events may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
