“I was so inspired by what the NHSPCA was looking to do in this campaign for the horses in our community!  Before I got involved in the NHSPCA, I volunteered in equine protection for a now defunct non-profit. Lisa Dennison, Sheila Ryan , Steve Sprowl and the NHSPCA staff were a tremendous help in getting horses placed as the organization was dissolving. Many landed at the little red barn in Stratham, home of the NHSPCA. Due to the number of horses that are neglected, abandoned or surrendered in New Hampshire, there is no organization in our state that can train equines to be suitable for foster or adoption. With the realization of the master plan, a large barn along with training arena(s) will enable the organization to provide a safe haven and be kept healthy and fit for a forever home.
