Governor Sununu Signs Commendation for Executive Director

 

Stratham, NH – On Monday, August 13, 2018, Governor Christopher T. Sununu graciously presented a Commendation to New Hampshire SPCA Executive Director Lisa S. Dennison, to honor and celebrate her nearly 25 years of dedicated service to animal welfare and specifically, the New Hampshire SPCA.

Governor Sununu warmly greeted Ms. Dennison and numerous board members, staff and supporters at the Office of the Governor.   In the moments leading up to the reading of the commendation, Ms. Dennison, in her usual fashion, took the opportunity to speak with the Governor about legislation, animal cruelty cases and how the government could be helping the fight.

The Commendation read in part, “Whereas, Lisa Dennison’s excellent leadership has ensured the growth of the NHSPCA, including increased education to the public, more volunteers, and more advocacy and services for animals in need; and Whereas, Lisa Dennison has been a strong advocate for stronger laws and individualized and long term care to protect animals, and thousands of animals have been given a chance at a better life because of her commitment to the NHSPCA; and Whereas, Lisa Dennison’s service is invaluable, and she continuously conducts herself in an ethical, professional, and compassionate manner…”.

The staff, Board of Directors, Trustees, and volunteers are all profoundly grateful for the work and dedication that was recognized by the Governor today.   “I am so grateful for this wonderful recognition of my tenure with the NHSPCA,” said Lisa Dennison.  “I consider this commendation as acknowledgement of not only myself, but of all the staff, volunteers and leadership of today and those that have been here over the last 148 years.  I am truly honored.”
