May is Adopt a Horse Month, and we’d love to introduce you to Oliver! He is a 9-year-old Tennessee Walker gelding with a gorgeous blonde coat.
Oliver is a friendly horse who can occasionally be a bit cautious in new situations. A confident, steady partner would suit him well and help him feel his best, but once he’s comfortable, he’s a genuinely enjoyable guy to be around.
His favorite thing to do is hit the trails! Oliver truly comes alive out there. He’ll work in a ring when asked, but the open trail is where he’s happiest, and where that beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse movement really gets to shine!
It goes without saying that he has been under saddle with us and does great. We’ve ridden him in a halter bridle, and he’s been soft and responsive. He’s lived alongside both mares and geldings without issue, is currently barefoot, and is up to date on vaccines and dental care.
Oliver is looking for his person this Adopt a Horse Month. If you’re a confident, patient rider with a love for the trails and a heart for a horse who just needs a little reassurance along the way, we think you two could be something really special together!
Horses and farm animals can be seen every day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 104 Portsmouth Avenue in Stratham, NH. Have questions about Oliver? Email farmanimals@nhspca.org and our Equine & Farm Animal team will be happy to help.
This feature is brought to you by our generous Cool Cat Sponsor, Great Bay Orthodontics. Join us for Paws Walk on Sunday, June 7 at Stratham Hill Park to help more animals like Oliver!
