Meet Olivia, a speckled beauty with a nose that just won’t quit!

The very best version of this two-year-old girl can be found among the trees. Olivia is happiest when given the chance to stretch her legs and follow her nose… and you best believe she’s always ready to find out what’s around the next bend. Earlier today, we took her on a pack walk with three other dogs and it completely rocked her world! Little critters everywhere… bikers and walkers to watch… and a pack of dog friends and volunteers to keep tabs on? It was basically a dream come true for her!

After being found as a stray in South Carolina, Olivia traveled more than 1,000 miles to find her person here in New England. What this means is that she has spent most of her young life either on the streets or in a kennel… and to be completely transparent, it shows at times. While Olivia is a really fun dog with a lot of great qualities, they can sometimes be overshadowed by her overstimulation. We’re looking for a family that will be comfortable helping her learn to manage her big feelings. Structure, training and exercise will all play key roles in helping Olivia show her true potential.

Olivia is high energy and strong on leash, but also incredibly food motivated and smart, so we think she would respond to training beautifully.

As the excitement of the day winds down, Olivia turns into the world’s biggest snuggle bug… and will 100% BHOB (Bring Her Own Blanket) to a couch near you. Olivia’s foster mom reports that she loves to nestle in blankets and appreciates a nice, fluffy pillow to rest her snout on—remember how we told you her nose likes to work overtime? Work hard, sleep even harder. Olivia’s one rule is that when the lights go out for the night… you better make room in bed for her.
