Get to know Maya, our pet of the week!

Maya arrived in New Hampshire via a long bus ride from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. She was found to have heartworm when she arrived and has undergone three months of treatment. Maya is now feeling better and ready to find her forever home! Maya is a bit nervous when meeting someone new, but once she is comfortable with you, she will be rolling over for belly rubs and asking to play. She is a very smart dog who knows how to sit, stay, shake hands, lie down, and go into her crate on command. Maya has thrived in her foster home; she loves being a part of the family and follows her foster parents everywhere with her tail wagging! Maya didn’t come from the best situation in Texas, so her ideal home would be one that has the patience to let her get comfortable in new surroundings. Once you gain her trust you will be rewarded with a gentle, well-behaved, and loving girl!

Please email info@nhspca.org or call 603-772-2921 ext. 110 to set up a meeting with Maya. The Adoption Center is open daily 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and only closed on Wednesdays.
