Will you open your heart and home to an older gentleman?
Say hello to Steven Michael David, a 12-year-old dog who’s so special, his foster family couldn’t settle for just one name! He joined us from another animal shelter in New Hampshire and hopes to have a better chance at finding a loving home here.
Steven was originally found wandering around as a stray before he was discovered and placed in a foster home. His foster mom immediately fell in love with him and provided us with some great insight into his behavior and personality.
He is a wonderful guy and is very sociable with people, so much so that he experiences separation anxiety when left alone. Steven is searching for a family that is able to have someone home to keep him company. He is at his happiest when he can lounge around with a person (or two) and would make the perfect TV-watching companion.
Steven may be a senior dog but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying long walks in nature. He prefers walking in the woods instead of the street because he finds the smells in the woods much more interesting. Even if his nose starts to take him off the beaten path, you don’t have to worry because he always comes when called. Steven is a good listener and takes great comfort in hearing his people talk to him.
He has previously coexisted with cats in his foster home but has lived with dogs or children. Due to his laid-back personality, we think he would be fine with either of these species but recommend an introduction first.
Does Steven Michael David sound like the guy for you? Stop by and meet him during our Adoption Center’s open hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays or email us at info@nhspca.org.
