For those of us who are in denial about our dogs inevitably getting older (same )… there’s an adorable saying that a dog’s face turns white from all the kisses and love they’ve received over the years. We’re certain this is the case for this gorgeous senior, Zoe.
Zoe’s family surrendered her because they could no longer provide the care she needed. Make no mistake—this was an absolutely heartbreaking decision for her people. Over the past week or so, we’ve gotten to know this gentle girl and it’s crystal clear that she was incredibly well-loved in her previous home.
Sometimes, the greatest act of love is recognizing when your pet deserves more than you can give and making the devastating decision to ensure they have a brighter future. We promised Zoe’s family we would find a soft place for their sweet girl to land. Can you help us do just that?
Here’s what you need to know about our good friend Zoe!
- 10 years old but still has lots of life left in her!
- Easy to handle, polite on leash, and just a treat to take for walks.
- People-oriented and will seek out human affection any chance she gets.
- Has experience with dogs but needs a cat-free home.
- Gentle, kindhearted, tender… a total sweetheart of a dog.
Please note that Zoe is a senior dog who has a few medical waivers: Arthritis, exposure to tick-borne illness, small suspected fatty, benign tumor on leg, and allergies/atopy. Zoe’s adopter will understand the need for and be comfortable with potentially having more vet visits than a younger dog might. If you are interested in learning more, an adoption counselor would be very happy to go over her entire medical history with you. Please stop by during our Adoption Center’s open hours to chat with us in person, email info@nhspca.org or call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110.
