Students will discover how enrichment activities help keep animals mentally and physically active by encouraging natural behaviors such as problem-solving, foraging, play, and exploration. Using safe, recycled materials like cardboard tubes, paper bags, clothing materials, and empty water bottles, students can help create toys and activities that benefit animals while reducing waste.

This hands-on program encourages:

  • Creativity and teamwork
  • Environmental awareness and sustainability
  • Compassion and empathy for animals
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Community involvement through service learning

Assemblies can be adapted for different grade levels and may include demonstrations, interactive discussions, and opportunities for students to help design enrichment ideas for animals in shelters.

Students leave inspired knowing that simple recycled items can make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.
