We now offer specific programs that meet all or most of the requirements for many of the common animal-related badges for both girl scouts and boy scouts. These programs are offered on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm-7 pm and require prior registration. We can help your troop with the following badges:

  • Brownie level – Pets Badge – learn about the needs of different pets, how to be a responsible pet owner, and how to choose the pet that is right for you.
  • Cadette level – Animal Helpers Badge – learn about the relationships between humans and animals, as well as roles of animals as helpers in human lives, such as working animals.
  • Senior level – Voice for Animals Badge – learn about common issues in animal advocacy and animal rights.
  • Dog Care Merit Badge – learn about a variety of dog breeds, how to be a responsible pet owner, how to decide what breed of dog might be best for your family, and what is required to do some basic obedience training with a dog.

We are also working on developing our very own NHSPCA badge and look forward to offering it soon!

Currently, programs are limited to a maximum of 10 scouts and one troop leader and will require masks when indoors, to adhere to Covid-19 safety requirements. Once you have submitted the registration form, a member of our staff will reach soon to schedule your visit and for payment.

Refund/cancellation policy: It is not the NHSPCA’s policy to give refunds for cancellations. For events postponed due to illness or inclement weather, we will make all attempts to reschedule or provide a credit to use toward future programming.
