Please note that our Humane Education team will be fully engaged with our 9-week summer camp program from mid-June through the end of August and will not be able to offer scout badge programs during this time. If you would like to discuss a program for the upcoming school year, please email [email protected] Thank you!

We now offer specific programs that meet all or most of the requirements for many of the common animal-related badges for both girl scouts and boy scouts.  These programs are offered on Tuesday evenings from 4:30pm – 6pm and require prior registration.  Please let us know if you cannot make this time and we are happy to work with you to find a time and date that can meet your needs.

We can help your troop with the following badges:

  • Brownie level – Pets Badge – learn about the needs of different pets, how to be a responsible pet owner, and how to choose the pet that is right for you.
  • Cadette level – Animal Helpers Badge – learn about the relationships between humans and animals, as well as roles of animals as helpers in human lives, such as working animals.
  • Senior level – Voice for Animals Badge – learn about common issues in animal advocacy and animal rights.
  • Dog Care Merit Badge – learn about a variety of dog breeds, how to be a responsible pet owner, how to decide what breed of dog might be best for your family, and what is required to do some basic obedience training with a dog.

We are also working on developing our very own NHSPCA badge and look forward to offering it soon!

Currently, we can accommodate groups of up to 12 scouts and one troop leader. Once you have submitted the registration form, a member of our staff will reach soon to schedule your visit and for payment.

Refund/cancellation policy: It is not the NHSPCA’s policy to give refunds for cancellations. For events postponed due to illness or inclement weather, we will make all attempts to reschedule or provide a credit to use toward future programming.
