Clarence (approximately 47 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in South Carolina. He was lucky enough to spend a week in a Southern foster home, and he wrote us this letter about his time hanging out with his foster family, which included children:
"Hi friends! I have learned to walk upstairs - it's still a little scary but if I want to keep up with that little human it becomes necessary. I do my best to keep her safe & happy, so while she is in school I sleep. The next smallish human likes to hug me, and likes to run with me. The little human tries to run with me but I don't want her to get hurt so I just walk next to her, and she tells me I'm a good boy. I go with Granny to pick up the little humans from school. That is soooo much fun! I get to see lots of humans in all sizes, and some ask to pet me and Granny will let them - I love it!! I also get to see lots of other dogs and I did get to say hi to a golden retriever, it was so exciting. The little people have cats - I don't know why the cats won't play with me, but I will keep trying. Love for now, Clarence"
